Time is Running Out for Medicare 2010 Open Enrollment
Medicare's Open Enrollment period is now until March 31, 2010. If you're
already on traditional Medicare with a purchased, stand-alone drug plan or on
another Medicare Advantage Plan and you haven't already made a change to
your healthcare coverage during this Open Enrollment period (Jan 1- Mar 31),
you have until March 31, to make a final change to a "like" plan for your medical
coverage for 2010.
Still unsure what to do? You may want to attend one of our free Medicare talks in February or March. Along with the Medicare expert from the Social Security Administration, sales representatives from our contracted Medicare Advantage plans will be present with information and applications. In addition to our free Medicare talks, Bristol Park is hosting two meetings with one of our premier Medicare Advantage plan partners, SCAN Health Plan (HMO). Here's a list of upcoming meetings:

Meet: Taranjit Natt, MD - Board Certified in Internal Medicine
The new physician at our San Juan Capistrano office, Dr. Natt is excited to start her medical practice in Orange County following completion of both her Internship and Residency programs at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School, in Newark. "I wanted to settle close to my family and be able to enjoy everything this great area has to offer; from the ocean, to the proximity to other cities, to the activities, and of course, to the varieties of food."
Both of Dr. Natt's parents are active physicians in Southern California, but
her decision to pursue a career in medicine wasn't determined until she took
a physiology class during college at the University of California, Berkeley.
"I was so amazed by the complexity of the human body that I wanted to
continue learning." Dr. Natt chose to become an Internist because she
likes the opportunity primary care provides to be the first physician the
patient sees. "I want my patients to actively participate in their treatment
of health concerns. I will help them with that by teaching and sharing
information. In turn, I expect them to be honest and share with me so we
can work together towards a successful outcome and a healthy life."
Outside of medicine, Dr. Natt enjoys watching University of Texas (Longhorns)
football, reading, listening to all kinds of music on her IPod, and sampling
the local restaurants.
Dr. Natt's practice is open to patients 18 years and older. If you would like to make an appointment to see her, please call (949) 661-9600. Current Bristol Park patients with
HMO insurance may also see Dr. Natt without first having to notify their health plan.
Have A Heart - Volunteer to be A Blood Donor
Physicians of Excellence!
Volunteerism is in the air. Don't have the time to devote to a long-term
volunteer project? How about an hour to help save a life?
The American Red Cross is always looking for people to donate blood,
especially in times of increased need such as now. By making an appointment
to donate blood, you'll not only be helping save lives but you're also doing
yourself a favor.
Studies have shown that donating blood can help prevent the build-up of
iron in the body, thus reducing the strain it can place on your heart and other
major organs. The results are thought to be the most beneficial to middle-aged
men and among people prone to hemachromotosis (a metabolic disorder due to
excessive iron absorption). And, an added benefit is how good it will make you
feel to know you're helping save a life.
Contact your local Red Cross (www.redcross.org) chapter to help make a difference.
