JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: It is the duty of all supervisors to understand and perform their job tasks to the highest level at all times.
1. Interview and hire the best-qualified candidates for department openings.
2. Develop staff by offering training and educational opportunities both inside and outside of department.
3. Write and deliver valid performance evaluations on time.
4. Resolve employee issues within the best interests of the company.
5. Promote and maintain a comfortable and productive working environment for all employees.
6. Supervise staff schedules to include all shifts and modialities per management.
7. Manage sick calls and all leave requests.
8. Cooperate with other departments.
9. Complete all employee paperwork within the requested timeframes.
10. Engage the help of staff to continually investigate ways to improve work procedures and the department.
11. Hold regular meetings to communicate effectively with staff.
12. Manage daily department operations.
13. Develop, manage, and efficiently use department budget to meet financial and service goals.
14. Recognize staff performance.
15. Participate in special projects as assigned.
16. Maintain working knowledge and ability to perform any job task they supervise.
17. Develop and update policies and procedures under direction from Manager.
18. Actively participate in quality care issues related to facility/department operations. Attend quality review meetings as directed.
19. Pursue a program of self-development. Remain current with information may affect the job, staff, or operations.
20. Perform any other duties as requested by management.
21. Maintain CRT licensure and complete all CEU requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Must have the ability, skill-set, qualifications, education, and licensure (if applicable) that are required for all the jobs for which this person is responsible. Qualified candidate must excel in interpersonal communication and customer service and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. They must excel in organization and attention to details and follow through. Additionally, they must have the ability to problem solve to logical conclusion and demonstrate initiative and responsibility. Must have the ability to clearly and effectively communicate (verbal and written) in English.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior medical office experience preferably in ambulatory care. Must have a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent. AA or BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred. Must have current CA CRT license.
